Cost effective product, value for money, easy to install
Bought this to install with a cellar sump pump system to prevent back flow of water. I was a bit hesitant as it was a compression fit item due to the risk of leaks and yes it does but only a little. I would have preferred one to glue but needed one asap. Other than that, it does what it is supposed to and has solved the issue
Great solution for linked basin and shower waste systems. They can restrict flow but stop the back flow you can get on linked systems.
I don’t know why McAlpine charge so much for this product, or why they don’t sell a replacement 2p washer to repair it rather than making you okay £20 to buy a new one.
Still, as usual, Toolstation were the cheapest.
Oh, & they were the only ones to have one in stock locally!👍
Could be a great item however I’ve now had 2 of these with the rubber seals missing and then had to buy them separately because I didn’t realise before opening the pack

Was easy to fit and works well
This NRV was recommended by a shower company to be connected to their shower cabin. The unit in question was a removable shower cabin with a flexible waste attached.
Unfortunately when pushing the unit into position the NRV always falls on its side as it it top heavy and stops working, blocking the waste.
The NRV is also bulky so beware fitting it under showers where there is limited space.
The NRV works well if it can be secured in the upright position otherwise it's a waste of money and time.
