I set up the number code and it items in it. Now I can’t get it opened again.
The safe opened with the preset code but now won't open with the new code I set up and will not open at all
Very disappointed. It was not a master lock product, some cheap make that had once been an Argos product. Still had the Argos lable on it. Easy return and refund.
I purchased this item because I trusted the brand and was disappointed to find out that I was actually supplied with a similar item from a brand that I had never heard of. The packaging also had a suspicious looking Argos stock number on it. Item returned.

After reading some of the mixed reviews. Found the product perfect to use at the Holiday Home for storage of emergency electric top up cards and storage padlock keys. Easy to use. Good value for money.
As I travel a lot, and have little confidence in hotel safes, I decided to buy my own mobile safe. The one I purchased is excellent. It is not too heavy, fits inside a suit case easily and creates enough deterrent to stop petty thieves. At £10 (on sale) I thought it might be too flimsy but it is much more robust that I thought it would be and now travels every where with my wife and I.
The combination seems to stick from time to time. Other than that I am happy with your product. I have passed on a good review to friends and family.
After purchasing I read the reviews, I would agree with the opening issues. Although I was able to reset the combination and worked ok. However, the lock itself doesn’t turn easily and the lid itself is a struggle to open- it sticks and had nothing to grasp to actually pull the top to open. I’d say it’s just “ok” for what I need the lockbox for but if using on a daily basis, constantly struggling to open the lid would get super annoying and frustrating

Have had other sentry safes in the past and thought they were great. However this one my boyfriend set the new code and it has never has opened ever since. After reading the reviews this seems to be an ongoing issue and seems like there is defect happening. Unfortunately he bought it like six months ago and just put it up and I just found it & the manual recently - it was exactly the size and style I’ve been needing and I my wishful thinking had me convinced that he must have just made a mistake trying to set the new code or something it would be something that would be easily fixable once I read the directions but that was not the case. It will not open at all. I just really wanted to write this review to warn others to not waste their hard earned money, especially since it seems to be a common issue with this model.

Set my own combination and tested to be sure I could open. No problem. Second time I attempted to open it, it would not open. I now have a safe that is permanently locked. Just glad it is empty and not tethered in a hotel room somewhere. It is too bad because otherwise this seems to be just what I was looking for. Compact. Lightweight. Steel.

This is not a very strong. This is a thin steel box that would not resist even an incompetent thief. Might be good for some uses but the wobbly nature of the hinges snd lock gave me no confidence. I’m sending it back.
The door is crooked, so closing the safe is not very convenient. The quality of the inner insert is not very good.
