This is a well-made, traditional padlock. As it has no spring mechanism to jam up, it's far preferable to sprung padlocks that tend to jam or corrode, and fail to work after a while. This one has been in use, outdoors by the sea, for several months, with no problems. This design is far better than 'modern' padlocks.
Useless did not work took it back and got full credit towards a better one
so far doing exactly what it should do, using every day
Click and collect item could not be found at our branch of toolstation but the branch manager arranged to have the missing item delivered to our home address the next day. Item arrived early next morning. A good recovery.

Disappointed with this. I bought 2 and they not the best. One was very hard to unlock and took a lot of WD40 to get it working. I guess you get what you pay for as they are cheap. Not Toolstations usual standards.
Too Flimsy, I would not buy again. Luckily just to secure a gate.
Gently does it - compared to snap-lock padlocks - easy locking action.
Basic lock, not bad for the money but nothing fancy
Decided to try the old fashioned padlock as my previous 2 Master padlocks had both come apart on the non locking side.
As previous review had said the lock mechanism is a little stiff but nothing too bad. The only other “fault “ I found (I realised as soon as I picked it up) and that is you can’t snap it shut you need the key to lock and unlock it.
All in all a reasonable purchase for under a tenner but will have to see how weatherproof it actually is. Shouldn’t be a problem as I now live down in the south west so it’s appreciably milder.
Good locks, very stiff to operate for the first time, and I do mean stiff l had to get a pair of pliers on the key of one of the pair I bought.
Good value for the money and can't break into these locks
This lock is a winner it is a old-time modern lock but is the same quality as the ones made years and years ago. They last for years if they are oiled regularly I oly buy type of padlock.
This is a old classic padlock and really reliable never jams up and keeps going for years
Galvanised padlock excellent looks and perfect for the garden gate or shed. Medium security.
I needed this type of padlock for a pirate chest for my grandson and it had to look old, I have spray painted it black and it looks just right
