As what other presumably experienced reviewers say - gets the mortar packed deep between stones, giving a surely very secure wall. In my "Try1 session2" ever at pointing, was so happy seeing the pointing happening, assisted by this tool where could recognise characteristics like "springy blade", etc.
Quality tool for pushing mix into brickwork, flexible and solid
Bought this to repoint a wall and was so easy to use and much quicker to get the van job done.a DIYer not a professional so anyone can do it
Great little tuck pointer from Marshall Town soft grip handle and flexible blade
worked well pushing and pointing the silks all weather exterior grouting
Excellent tool that’s just right for pointing work The blade is strong with just the right amount of flex
Only had it 3 months and snapped after light use on a job. Can't see anything on Toolstation about replacement for something faulty / poor quality so will try another brand
Awful, snapped very quickly with no force, marshal town used to be great but the quality of this was very poor
I've never purchased a poor product from Marshalltown, and this pointer is in the same league as the rest of their stuff i.e., price to quality ratio is where it should be - something you can't say about many tools these days.
This could easily be described as a pro tool.
Brilliant little tool, should have got one years ago.
Very useful tool capable of pushing compo into the wall to completely fill the gaps between the bricks
ok a bit too flexible does the job pointing old slabs
Purchased to do some pointing after watching u tube video.. to my surprise I was able to use it to speed up the job .. after my attempts with pointing gun failed.
Perfect for grouting porcelain pavers. A little flimsy for when you really want to push the grout in. Especially resin based grouts when you need to squeeze the water out of the joints. Regardless It made the job easier for me using this tool!
Useful tool. Its quite flexible which helps with grout/pointing application. I used it to grout my drive.
Blade just snapped on the middle very poor quality
Excellent, even if a little modern looking. Only a wooden handle could beat it, and maybe a 3/16” for those narrow joints. Do they do a narrower version?
its ok, the only thing is, it tends to bend with prolonged use the welded point had broken at the elbow and I had to get a replacement, however its a very reasonable price
Snapped off within 2 minutes of use. Was just the job until it wasn't!
Does the job well, great for pointing bricks and plastering tool
