The advance is in the format reaching all the mix without clogging , and very easy to clean.
Used this to mix tile adhesive which was pretty stiff. Worked with my makita cordless drill. Chuck was a bit tricky to keep locked with the jaws opened right up. A lot more expensive than I wanted to pay but did the job.

great for mixing paint and other materials, quite powerful - make sure you tape and wrap to prevent a mess.
Very well made mixer, but found difficult to spin at the recommended low RPM with my drill. If you spin it too fast its ruddy tricky to control. That said it mixed up my mortar quite easily and its more straight forward to clean up after a job.

I used this mixer on a dewalt drill to mix several different paints also some plaster and it does a great job easy to clean and mixes products really well.
Moves easily through every medium from skim plaster to drywall adhesive and mortar.
Needed to mix some multi finish and decided on this to use with my SDS drill. So much more solid and easy to clean than those cheap spiral jobbies. A bit more expensive for sure but will probably last forever. Very happy with my purchase
