I recently used the Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 (25kg) for a floor renovation, and it performed exceptionally well. The mix was easy to prepare and spread, offering a smooth, consistent finish that leveled perfectly.
What impressed me most was its quick setting time without compromising workability, making it ideal for both small repairs and larger areas. Once dry, it provided a strong, durable surface ready for tiling or other finishes.
In short, this screed is reliable, efficient, and delivers professional results every time. Highly recommended for any renovation project.
Simple instruction on the back , great product easy to work
I was looking for a fibre-enhanced product that could replace Weber Floorflex available locally. I was over the moon when I found out my local Toolstation stocks Mapei Ultraplan. I had to level a particularly bad corner where the deviation was 20mm over a meter. It did the job, albeit it was not perfect where the application was the thickest (circa 30mm). Another thinner layer may be in order to get a perfect surface but for my purpose it will do.
We used this to patch up small areas of concrete floor where tiles were missing, so a very thin layer (about 3mm) was needed. Mixing a thin (soup-like) consistency covered the area well. Leaves a nice smooth finish. Instructions on the packaging were ok for mixing the whole bag, however when needed for smaller mixes, it is guesswork! I would like to see instructions for smaller mixes on the bag.
A last minute requirement required a quick and effective resolution, this product as before proved the answer to my dilemma. I would without any reservation recommend this product , it's simply come up with the goods wiyh five stars.
Just the ticket to encapsulate UFH pipes in an 18mm screed in a small bathroom wet area. Mixed in batches of half a bag and shuffled buckets upstairs. Mixed easily, and left a good well-levelled surface.
Upstairs maisonette that had a concrete floor over insulation. The concrete had broken up in a few places where vinyl tiles that were put down when it was built in the 80s were removed. The floor was essentially flexible because of the crumbling concrete on insulation - it really did move ! I removed the loose concrete which had been laid over chicken wire and used this stuff. Nothing short of brilliant. Did sink a bit as it found gaps so did top it up a bit but now have a stable floor some elements quite thick.
Mixes well, easy to pour within 20-30 minutes if mixing, and creates a flexible solid level base (up to 4cm deep) which hardens sufficiently to step on in 3hrs and fully set overnight. I used it on top of a solid marine plywood surface. Very happy with the result. Will tile on top of it.
Easy to use product - just follow the instructions which are very clear
Need to do your research if you’ve never used it before. And you need to work fast
I found some staff unhelpful , almost obstructive . I spent about £500. With tool station , the staff would not let me take trolley beyond their front door with heavy bags . I had to carry each bag to my car . I was even told I should have bought elsewhere , where they do bulk goods! I intend to take their advice and shop elsewhere in future.
Like all mapei products this is excellent and does exactly what it says, fibre reinforced so you can do a deep pour in one go just make sure its mixed thoroughly
Bought this and had been told it was easy to do, yeah I've heard that before. But this stuff is so easy and to a certain extent forgiving that anyone can use this and get a fantastic job, absolutely brilliant product.
Bought this self levelling compound for our recent conservatory renovation, floor had previously been tiled by the previous owner and had a various high and low areas. This product mixed well and was easy to put down, the added fibres in the compound will help strengthen the floor due to the varying temperatures the conservatory goes through compared to a normal room in a house. Would recommend.
I recently used Mapei Self-Levelling Compound to level a 25 sqm floor area before laying new flooring, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The product mixed easily to a smooth consistency and poured out beautifully, spreading and settling with minimal effort. It found its level perfectly, leaving a flawless, even surface across the entire area.
The working time was ideal — enough time to pour and smooth without rushing, yet it set up firmly within a few hours. Once cured, the finish was rock-solid, perfectly flat, and ready for the next stage of the project.
Good coverage and dried smooth, easy to mix and dried in a good time frame
The best we've found to use. Easy to use and mix. Does what it says on the pack.
Very easy to use and free flowing. Gives a fantastic finish
Excellent job used on my shed floor, Bought two bags to start with but found I needed two more but extremely happy to have used. Highly Recommended. In 25kg bags heavy but manageable, staff member helped me take to car
Used to seal and level a concrete floored porch that had a slight slant. Easy to mix & pour. Gave a good coverage across 2x1m, levelled well. Dried quickly and evenly.
