Did not fit drain as to big, no measurement in discription what size it fitted.
It appears to be well made with decent weld size. A bit tight in the cover recess but fits with a little jiggling.

You might wish to revise the term " heavy " this item would best be described as for commercial or industrial use such as the split cast iron manhole cover in the road. My domestic cover is heavy gauge because its full with concrete, lighter gauge are generally of light weight materials hope this helps.
This item is perfect for the job being longer it's easier to lift the heavier covers
