The Makita DSC251 is a cordless steel rod cutter designed for cutting threaded rods and rebar on site. Powered by Makita's 18V LXT battery platform, this professional-grade tool features a brushless motor for enhanced performance and extended runtime. The automatic torque drive technology intelligently adjusts cutting speed according to load conditions, optimising performance and battery efficiency across different materials. Built for demanding metalworking and construction applications, the DSC251 handles rebar from 10mm to 25mm diameter with a 110mm blade. The flangeless blade design delivers an excellent cutting edge whilst ensuring smooth nut mounting on threaded rod. Ideal for electrical contractors, steel fixers and mechanical trades working with M10 and larger threaded rod installations, as well as reinforcement bar cutting in concrete and steelwork projects. Practical features include removable dust covers and an integrated dust bag for chip powder collection, keeping the work area cleaner and protecting the cutting mechanism. The battery fuel gauge provides instant charge level visibility, helping you manage power on site. At just 78 dB(A) sound pressure and 2.5 m/sec² vibration when cutting metal, this tool offers comfortable operation for extended periods.
