The DF333D 12v MAX CXT Drill Driver from Makita gets the balance between power and compact flexibility just right, the overall length being 179mm and weighing just over one kilogram.

It is equipped with a battery protection circuit that is designed to protect the battery from damage due to overdischarge, high temperature and overload current.

The machine has 2 mechanical gears  and a forward/reverse trigger.
It also features a keyless chuck and electric brake.

Don't think that just because this is a compact tool that it can only produce compact results though, this drill is capable of up to 21mm in wood and 10mm in steel so you can be confident it can handle the majority of 2nd fix jobs quickly and efficiently.
