The Makita BL1830B is an 18V lithium-ion battery designed for professional cordless power tools in the Makita LXT range. This 3.0Ah power cell delivers an impressive 22-minute charge time, minimising downtime on site and keeping tools operational throughout the working day. Equipped with Makita's Star Protection System, this battery features an inbuilt computer that communicates with compatible tools to monitor operating conditions. The system provides protection against overload, over-discharge and overheating, extending both battery and tool lifespan. The lightweight, shock-absorbent design ensures controlled operation whilst protecting the battery from worksite knocks and impacts. Lithium-ion technology offers significant advantages over older battery types, providing 430% greater working capacity than Ni-Cad batteries over their lifetime and weighing 40% less than Ni-MH equivalents. The battery can be stored for extended periods with minimal charge depletion, making it ideal for contractors who need reliable backup power. The slide-on attachment system keeps the battery firmly secured to your power tool during operation. This battery is compatible with Makita cordless tools featuring a yellow connector plate or the Star Protection System symbol. It can be charged using the Makita DC18RA or DC18RC charger for quick turnaround between jobs.
