Makita 18V 26cm Cordless Line Trimmer Body Only

Can you please stop selling the one that has been opened and has parts missing? Reading the reviews and I am not the first to have received this and is making me not want to purchase anything from you in the future.

1st I’m disappointed box well battered and opened, when I got it home only to find a screw missing. Unfortunately after looking for one I could not find one to fit. So will have to return it just for the sake of a screw.

I have used this is my gardening business . I bought it may 2024 and today the motor died (sept 6th 2025). Would have expected a longer life by makitas build quality. The strimmer is superb otherwise . Very light. Easily adjustable. Powerful motor. Adjustable angles is ideal . I cut my neatest lawn edges with this , vs my makita er2600l strimmer.

Best trimmer we’ve had line feed works well and it’s not heavy to use ,already had batteries .one I used which still had power left after trimming quiet a good size garden 10/10 .

Its sound for your garden I wouldnt recommend it for cutting brambles

Bought since I have other Makita tools with LXT batteries. Simple to put together and seemed OK at first but then when using upturned on edges and around paving the chord broke off every 30 seconds or so. Most annoying. However, a quick polish of the aluminium chord feed guide with a Dremel and polishing paste seems to have sorted it. Must have had a sharp or rough edge. Poor quality control?

Excellent bit of kit. I've been using a petrol strimmer for years but age and health has dictated it's to heavy. I'm already using a few Makita tools so got batteries and charger and using my new toy is a dream, it gets into places I couldn't with the petrol one so I'm giving 5 stars.

Another great product from Makita. It’s handy to have a wide range of quality tools, from coffee machines to drills and angle girders all using the same batteries.

Powerful , good battery life

Takes the hassle out of getting extension cables out etc, very light and the cord lasts pretty well. A must for an easier bit of gardening! Always wear your safety specs tho…!
