Quality brass ball float valve for my loft water tank, not many places stock the 3/4 version but Toolstation do!

The valve part is fine, it's the arm that is the problem. Don't try to bend it, it just breaks. Maybe I should have used heat but a thought a slight adjustment would be fine. Thankfully I could use the old arm as it was just the leaking vale that needed replacing.
Everyone knows what a pain it can be to replace the washer and conical 'feed' in a float valve. It's so much easier and quicker to go to Toolstation for a competitively priced brand new one.
Ordering on-line is easy, but 9 times out of 10 I simply turn up at the store. I've never experienced an item being out of stock. This time - two spanners and a bit of PTFE tape and the job's done.

Do not try bending the arm! I tried a gentle small bend and the arm snapped in the thread area!
You can not bend the arm to control the height of the water in the tank. It just snaps in two. The arm is made of a alloy hollow tube with some kind of filling I am not even sure it's metal.
Works well but could not bend arm to stop water flow quicker or when washer begins to wear.

Use it to replace a leaking ball valve in a central heating water tank. Straight forward switch over and job done in no time.
Decent for the price. float has lateral movement and maes a bit of noise but much less than the one I replaced.
Bought to replace one that wasn't letting water in to my galvanised water tank done the job easy enough to fit 👍
