Been buying these from toolstation for a while and been perfect for the job. This time they don’t look as pictured. Still packaged as made4trade but clearly different. The 1/2 inch side is too small for 1/2 and even the 15mm is too small for the 15mm. Not fit for purpose.
Fits on 15mm pipe. The 1/2 inch side doesn’t fit on old imperial pipe. Bought the same fitting elsewhere and it worked.
End feed copper pipe fittings good price and does the job
Unfortunately these were not up to the job. The 1/2" end fitted the old pipe perfectly but the 15mm end would not go on the new pipe - it wasn't even a tight fit - it just would not go on (no, it wasn't another 1/2"pipe as other 15mm joints that I had fitted it perfectly). I thought maybe it had to be fitted into a 15mm connector but it didn't fit there either.
Don’t buy it, it’s too small on the 1/2” side. Get the solder ring(Yorkshire version) . It does work.
The imperial end doesn't fit! The engineer who designed it, didn't probably try it on an imperial 15mm copper pipe before putting it out in the market. Do not bother buying this item instead use pipe expander, you won't waste your time.
Does what it says in the specification, and at a reasonable cost
The imperial end is only fractionally wider than the metric end. It did not fit the old copper pipe that I had to join, not even close! Ended up jamming a JG pushfit onto it instead.
Good fittings solder up nice never had a problem with them
if you need to connect up to 70's imperial 1/2 inch it works wonders.
