Good quality olives, copper used with a small amount of a sealant seems to give best leak free results.

I was quite underwhelmed with these olives, the sizes varied surprisingly in so much as they were all a lot looser than you would expect. So much so I had to undo a couple of joints and replace the olives as they were leaking and I couldn't or rather didn't want to use excessive tightening force to attempt to stop the leak.
I prefer copper olives, as they seem to seal easier than brass ones.
