What can I say about this item, made from shiny brass it does the job it’s supposed to.
Needed to put stopper on tap wall plate have to remove tap after use / to prevent it being stolen. Always used Toolstation Tyseley great bunch of guys
Ths is a BSP plug - 1" fits a hole size approx 1 !/4". Well made ,no leaks -used PTFE tape.

I chose this to blank off a redundant pipe,from a range of three possibilities. When I realised this one was unsuitable, I went straight back to the Holmes Chapel branch, which they changed without fuss.
Inch brass plug screws into an inch fitting seals nice with a bit of tape

Fixed jammed washing machine tap by fitting to the hose
I was doing a bathroom refit. I intended to disconnect the sink, bath and toilet using the isolating valves in order to maintain water and heating across the rest of the house. It didn't look as if the hot water tap to the bath had a valve so I bought this to fit the 3/4 inch tap connector. Once I got into the job I found that it did had a valve but it failed on me. Fortunately I was able to cap the supply with this flanged plug that I had already purchased. Disaster averted.
My only gripe is that there isn't much surface area to get a good hold of with a spanner. I'm sure these used to be bigger
The Hexagon on these is getting smaller making it difficult to tighten in hard to reach places
