Would be better with brass back nut instead of plastic. Always get an additional seal kit to use to avoid problems

Poor quality, after a weeks use it’s so stiff to turn that I could not open it. Had to hit it with a screwdriver and hammer to open it

Replaced two pushdown waste units that kept seizing, due to limescale build (hard water). Easy to replace. seal is excellent, I did not require any plumbers mate, sealant or similar, and no leaks. Works as described , very pleased.

Have fitted this type for a few years now but this is the first from Toolstation…was sceptical about the conical shaped seal underneath and was thinking this was going to be a silicone job but no…very impressed with how it all went together to give a perfectly watertight seal and with no silicone required…and nice price too

Nicely packaged. The included silicon 'bung' means simple and quick installation. Wish drains had been like this 30 years ago - no mastic, no plumbers mate, no leaks.
Decent, no need for mastic as the silicone sleeves seal very nicely. 2 minute job. Tidy.

Fitted with no issues, bottom sealing washer seemed to have done the job, no plumbers mate or silicon needed at the time of this review to stop any leaks. Hopefully it's a high grade stainless as rust will appear on low grade, the chrome plated ones are no use in hard water areas.
The reason for 1 star off is it would have been very beneficial to have had a couple spare o-rings supplied, as undoubtedly they will fail after a period, especially with washing hands with muck/sand or other grainy items.
Overall a nice finished item.
This is an excellent item and fitted easily into the sink, where it was replacing a non-functional spring plug waste. My only criticsm, as an amateur DIYer, is that the catalog did not give exact dimensions of the swaste, so I had to go in to check the size.
