These are brilliant fixings …. I used them on a dot and dab plaster-boarded wall, and are long enough to bridge the gap between the plasterboard and the blocks.
I fitted a tv bracket for a large screen tv and it was very secure. Just added M6 penny washes to spread the load.
I was really struggling when fitting kitchen cabinets to a thermal block wall, even the most expensive wall plugs pulled out by hand. I searched a few websites and forums and found these. They may be more expensive but I have not had one fail and I have gone through several boxes of them on various jobs. They grip really well but without expanding so much that they crack or burst the bricks / blocks.
The best heavy duty fixings for modern dot and dab walls, perfect for large screen tv brackets
Best solution for heavy loads and solid walls. We use for 75" and bigger TVs all the time.,
It’s always a mission to get a propper fixing for kitchen wall units etc onto a dot and dab wall. I used these for the first time this week and they work so well, they could not be better at all. Hung wall units into dot and dab that was on a thermalite block wall. Absolutely spot on.
Pricey but work well in DABs on thermalite.
brilliant wall fixing if you need to be able to undo & re-fix
High price but don't fail. Held in Durox blocks which are like candyfloss where other fixings failed.
I used these to mount some heavy duty surround sound speaker brackets on to the walls in a house built in the 1930’s. I had tried the standard plugs but the fragility of the plaster meant that the fixing continuously failed and I ended up with most of the plaster and associated brick parts on the floor. Don’t be put off by the larger than normal hole you are required to drill or the fact that in fragile walls there does not appear to be much masonry to fix to. It just works. I found that if you can get away without the sds setting then so much the better on soft walls etc and also drilling a pilot about half the diameter of the final holes worked well. Hope that helps and good luck.
Installing a heavy-duty TV bracket for a large TV into Thermalite block. The Corefix fittings wouldn't hold, nor would their Plus30 fittings and so I'd bought these M6 Rigifix and installed 4. They've been superb, are holding fast. I just would have liked some thick washers as tightening the screws nearly pierced the metal bracket. Washers would have held it better.
I use these a lot for wall mounting large televisions. The work brilliantly for dot and dab walls (their intended use) but also work very well on brick, masonry, and even thermolite walls.
Good fixings, heavy duty for dot and dab walls into soft breeze blocks.
Bought some of these to fix a kitchen cupboard that had literally fallen off the wall because the fitters had used pathetic screws and plugs. It will never move again.
