Well I managed to order the 70mm when I needed the 50mm, but returned the order to my local branch who ordered the 50mm for me. Fitted and working, and, if the reviews are correct (across the web) should continue to do so for some time. I would advise against buying the cheap copies that are available.
This is the second lock I have had to buy in less than 12 months. The 1st one didn't have a great deal of use but it still managed to fail. It looks like the cog which drives the bolt across has sheared off from its drive spindle. I think this drive spindle is made from an inferior material, it looks like some kind of alloy. I think it should be of a stronger steel.
The original lock was bought to replace a "cheap" lock originally fitted which wasn't strong enough to withstand high winds against the gate. This lock looked much more substantial and was certainly more expensive. I wrongly assumed it would give much better service.
I obviously hope this one lasts a lot longer. Time will tell.
This Gate Lock has been a Long time coming, up to now cumbersome padlocks and equally large keys, sequential codes on a four section barrel both needing a torch to achieve a result. smaller flat keys much easier to transport and use. Now the two minor drawer backs, if you are buying the handle ensure that the type of insert matches the key system in use, I bought the one for a standard shape key and not the cylinder lock ! the instructions suggest using a 25mm flat bit or an auger bit the fantastic brass cylinder has a hole diameter requirement of 1"( 0.6mm too tight)
Following a spate of attempted break-ins, I wanted a better lock than a padlock for my shed. Having fitted this device I feel it's the safest my shed can be.

Really robust, strong gate lock. Initially bought the 70mm, but swapped for the 50mm as didn’t need the additional 20mm depth. Locks and unlocks on both sides so really useful. Worth every penny, very pleased

This looked a good product. But had to return it as wouldn’t fit my palisade gate. Customer service in Norwich branch was excellent. They found me another locking bolt in the catalogue which would work and refunded the difference at same time.
