Arriving home later than anticipated on Friday evening just in time to shower and change to treat my wife to a birthday meal with our family only to learn that a valve had failed in the airing cupboard and water was leaking through the ceiling, sc-----x closed at 6 but toolstation stayed open until 8 so I ordered / fetched and installed my gleaming new lockshield valve and still made the restaurant intime for pudding.

Cheap valve that does what I needed it to do, but had to tighten really hard to get the olive to bite onto the copper. Make sure you have a couple big shifters when fitting, and double check the olives.
Economy Style, not full flow, not BS5154 or WRAS. Will do the job if all your after is a cheap Valve. No Key provided but easy enough to find on the bay.
I noticed while staying at a friend’s that the radiators weren’t heating very quickly. The system installation was needing balancing the installation of this valve enabled me to do so
Purchased this item to replace a very old and damaged valve. Not sure why this item has negative reviews. I've never needed a 'special key' for one of these as I simply undo the sleeve with a spanner, adjust the valve to where I want it, then replace the sleeve and tighten it up. The sleeve itself, as well as being there to prevent anyone meddling with it, is also part of the packing gland, so ensuring it is torqued up correctly is important if you don't want any leaks.
purchased this to replace a identical one which was leaking, however had to take it back as could not purchase the key, toolstation where is the key! one purchases plumbing bits to make life easier not difficult
The product id great and easy to fit and use, but this product is not supplied with key to open or shut the valve. The key is very special and is not easily available from any plumbing merchants. It took me a whole day to find a whole sale merchant who had it and would sell the key over the counter and suggested that I should order the key through a local retailer. Please make sure if you buy this valve, it should have the key with it, other wise not buy it.
