This MDF primer is easy to apply and delivers a really strong base for a topcoat finish.

This paint is working very well for my MDF cupboard/wardrobes; easy to apply and quick drying. Nice finish.
Very good primer for MDF. It is easier to use, as it is water-based, but this means that MDF end grain can swell slightly on first use. This is remedied by lightly sanding it down and applying a second coat. A good alternative to shellac-based primers, although I have to say not quite as good!
Layland MDF primer.
The problem with using MDF instead of wood, it that any cut edges will fur up like a hedgehog when painted, No matter how smooth the finished edges are.
Painting the edges with this primer, seals the edges.
You then lightly sand down to a smooth finish and then paint with your paint of choice.
Does it work , oh yes.

Great finish on the MDF panelling. Applied with a foam roller and sanded between coats. Very good coverage.

If you need to paint mdf then priming is a must. Does the job well as long as you prep well and follow the guidance.
I found it applied much better with a roller than a brush. 2 coats worked best.

Covers well and soaks into the MDF well. Seems a bit expensive, but always good to use the right thing for the job.

Expect it to do what undercoat does.
I used this to prime built in wardrobes and cupboards. Paint end grain edges of MDF with brush and sand lightly after 3 hours. I used a roller to prime the face grain surfaces and again sanded very lightly with 240 grit sandpaper. I have previously used Leyland acrylic primer undercoat for this job with similar results.
Spreads nicely on MDF leaving a good base coat
Have tried other MDF primer products from TS and this seems to be as good if not better.
