An old outside light became very dull after a few years, most of the LED cobs on the circuit board had failed. The casing was still in very good and weather-proof condition. I used the GX53 lamp along with a suitable socket (purchased elsewhere) to refurbish the light. Very pleased with the result.

A lamp is, to my mind, a unit that holds a bulb and may have a switch, shade, diffuser etc. This is not a lamp it is a bulb.
