Too bulky to get around pipework that isn't fully exposed. Wouldn’t fit for pipes running along walls.
Has quickly stopped a pinhole leak on our main water feed while we await a permanent repair.
Bought the leak mate this week as we had a mains water burst. Main stop cock did not work. Fitted the item which stopped the main leak. However, we have a slight drip from the leak mate that we can live with.
This was excellent for a leak in an external plastic water pipe, it shuts it down to a light leak from a blasting one that was washing the mud away from the trench I had dug. It lasted well for 4 days until the proper repair was done.
Effective and very simple to use, stop the leak immediately
This device seems to reduce, rather than stop the flow. I think I may have ultimately over-tightened it as the leak was getting gradually worse the more I tightened it.
Worth a punt at the price, but ultimately dissappointing.

Would not stop a small leak on 22mm pipe at mains pressure. Maybe okay on smaller but couldn’t recommend.
Hard to use and badly designed. You have to really force the thumb screw down for it to engage the threaded part, not easy to do when you have poor access and a spraying pipe. The thread is also made of plastic which was visibly stripping as I struggled with the thing. Also it's far too chunky so you'll probably find you dong have enough room around the pipe to get it on in the first place. Even when I managed to get it on the pipe I couldn't get any kind of seal to stop the drip. Gave up and called for the plumber in the end.
Excellent product. My leak was a split rather than a hole and it delt with it magnificently
Lever broke - not great. When tightening the lever broke rendering it useless.

On the item they handed to me there was a label stating there were parts missing yet they still tried to sell it as a new item. Make you wonder how they recruit staff.
Effectively stopped a pinhole leak from copper pipe in less than a minute. Obviously it's only a temporary solution but this stopped the water causing further damage until I could replace the pipe without having to shut off water to the whole house.
Only wish I’d already had one in my toolkit. Really easy to use and reuse! A quick “first aid” for pinholes or splits in all common pipe sizes.
Easy DIY install. For my leak (a split in a 22mm plastic pipe) it wasn't wide enough to stop the leak completely, but it was OK for a temporary repair before isolating and replacing a section of the pipe. The metal brace falls out of the plastic slot too easily. A tighter fit in the slot would help to ensure that it's put in place. I can imagine a case where the brace is not put in place and then the plastic 'G' section bends or snaps when tightened down.
Simple to use and sealed the hole left by removing the ubiquitous washing machine 'cut a hole in your plumbing adaptor'.
Brilliant device, saved me a lot of grief when I punctured a central heating pipe. The fact it has adapters for the most common pipe sizes is a bonus.
