If you need this then you need this.. leaking pipe in the house.. found a botched connection between lead pipe and copper. Bought this.. fitted it.. sorted. Needs plenty of tightening though! Be warned
Fitted perfectly onto an old 22mm lead pipe...usual hassle free ordering and pick up from Toolstation
I had an old lead pipe running behind a wall that was being removed and needed to reroute the water supply. Copper had been previously connected to some of the lead ( a skill that’s beyond me). This cave allowed me to cut the lead and connect to the additional plastic pipe. It was no more complicated than fitting a standard compression fitting. I had used to reroute the water. Brilliant!

I originally bought the larger size (7lb) version of this but it turned out to be too big so bought this one and it was exactly the same size. The difference between the 2 would be very small looking at the lead pipe size chart so I measured the 2 with digital calipers and they were both the same. In the end, I took a chance and fitted it and proved to be ok.
Lead to copper adaptor. I mean, it adapts lead to copper.

Was suprised to see that these are sold here and are cheaper then the merchants and do more sizes, wasn't in stock ordered for next day collection product was well built and will still be in the floor for generations to come

Easy to install straight run 15mm stop cock in the middle cutout 1 metre of lead sand each end so they go right inside fitting used 2 tools 35mm spanner and ajustable pipe spanner just tightened enough I no my own strengh you might think a little bit more but lead is soft and quiet not like copper pipe no noise so you could get a leaker they are a great fit in pub cellar.

Ordered this item twice, both times I was supplied a 1/2” lead to 25mm MDPE coupler, even after informing customer support that there was a picking error likely caused by incorrect stock in warehouse as that size isn’t offered by Toolstation.
