Flimsy plastic, with lights that bleed into each other, to the point that it’s next to impossible to get a reliable sequencing.
I had older version, also worked well, but was't suitable for PoE, this one is.
I purchased this to test LAN cables, and LAN cables were tested, and the LAN testing worked.
Simple to use, helped me find the faulty connection very quickly. Made a potentially nightmare job easy.
Great product. Cheap but works well. Indicates crossed over as well as disconnected cores.
It worked well . The description of its function was rather limited but easy to work out how to use it.

lan tester is plasticky but it does the job and works fine

Useful little tool- virtually no instructions with it and took a bit to figure what it was saying but useful after you’ve figured it out

RJ45 and RJ11 Test ports make this a useful piece of kit for both POE cameras and CAT6 internet connections
Looking at some previous negative reviews I suggest this product has been upgraded, as highly recommend, couldn't believe how low the price is and would not have been able to complete my home improvement project without it....or would have settled for 100mb instead of 1GB
Used twice as it’s a standby and it gave up on me waste of time
Pin pointed the issue straight away, indicated an issue with one of the cables that had been installed, switched the cable over and LAN link worked.
Enabled which wire of a broken connector or poor crimp to be identified.
I bought this yesterday and it basically fell apart instantly. The battery holder snapped off when trying to fit a battery (the battery was out of charge and was trying to remove it) and the switch was faulty on arrival, sliding between on and off simply by tilting the device. Ended up having to strip back the power connections and pressing the bare wires to a battery, while holding the device vertical to stop the switch sliding to off, to do the testing required for the cat5e runs being terminated. Shockingly poor quality.
Altough the tester worked, the on off switch did not. When turned off it didn't latch so would turn on, on its own, so could flattern the battery in your toolbox. Poor quality control by the manufacturer. No issue getting a refund.
