As others have mentioned, it is very easy to cross-thread the tap fitting. I have installed these before with success but the third one cross-threaded. When I examined the tap's thread I discovered a dent in its thread, which presumably caused the cross-threading. So, check the tap thread carefully before fitting to the elbow.

Ordered Online for Collection as Branch showed it "In Stock" and I need one urgently as had a leak on old one.
When I arrived to collect, after receiving text to say "Order Ready" I was a little disappointed that this item had not been picked. And instead was given something completely different.
More disappointing still was the Branch had none in stock.
Took the supervisor to explain to the assistant what an "elbow" looks like!
Got a refund (obviously) but what a waste of my time.

This is much better than the one it replaced. I had a couple like this from other manufacturers and the JG one is much better. Like all JG stuff I have used, it works reliably. The pipe is scratched and it still seals well.
Really easy to use and connect / disconnect the water pipe. Speedfit fittings saves a lot of time Not mucking about with big spanners to tighten up fittings
Do not even think about using this Expensive fitting for the use of a water tap ! The plastic tread disintegrates as so as you try treading the brass tap into it . Complete waste of money and time .
I'm NEVER going back to standard MDPE fittings this was so fast and easy to fit, in fact it slid on so easy I was convinced it would leak but nope, dry as a bone. LOVE THEM

I tried the cheaper one but it leaked. Then paying double because I have a 25mm pipe but a 1/2 tap. Who does that but these good people have anticipated it. It took less than 5 minutes with no subsequent leak. My advice is try this company first.
