A bit too crudely made Bench clamp load spreader came off in first use. Had to pannel beat it back into place

Will be returning this item. Thought this would be a handy temporary vice unfortunately when unpacked found the vice has no serrated jaws, just flat metal surfaces as cast. Will be totally impractical to use because it will not grip a workpiece securely when being cut or filed etc.

A solid well made vice, Record always decent kit. Not used yet but a very handy size for small jobs. Perfect size for jobs away from home, e.g. for family etc.

It’s always difficult buying from a picture even with the dimensions given. The vice itself is ok but there is a fair amount of play in the mechanism. While the vice is quite narrow (3”), the small scale is reflected throughout. I rate the vice as ok but I’m not wowed by what is quite an expensive small vice.
