Wanted simple solution for connecting Christmas lights. This provided an excellent answer and was not too expensive. No need to cut or punch out holes. Accepts one feed and up to five outlet cables. Hid simply under dead foliage or long grass.
Good sized weather proof box. Choices of temporary or permanent cables via soft rubber or gland connections. Downside was two plastic hinge pins fell out whilst setting up the box. And were lost. Easily sorted with a fine panel pin.

I needed two waterproof boxes for lighting systems. They work perfectly and have provision for waterperoof glands for armour cable and also direct, self sealing cable exit points for smaller cables and flexs.
It would be nice to have a box at around half this size as it is pretty big but it will take a 4way multiplug if required.
The fixings are located in the corners outside the wtaerproof area which will make the whole design far less prone to water ingress.

This is simple to use and decent quality IP rated box to house all your outdoor electrical items. Plenty of room inside with a simple locking clasp and flexible entry points.
Excellent boxes for Christmas Lighting Timers etc. This is my 3rd!
Easy to use set cables, lock etc, only concern we had was there are ribs inside the box which lined up with the extension lead socket which made it sit to high within the box as was using with timers which then was very awkward to close lid.

A well-designed large box with plenty of room for the new larger multi-function / remote control plugs that outside lights etc now come with. Installation was very easy, albeit a little fiddly when sitting the cables into the seal when they enter the box. I now have two of these and will be buying a third as I extend my electrics around the garden. Very pleased.
We live near the Norfolk coast so salt is an issue on unprotected connections of all kinds, but this box eliminates all such fears, good for peace of mind.

Nice size box. Big enough to use a four gang multiplug, RCD equip and remotely operated plugs. Seems sturdy enough with a catch that stops accidental opening of the box. I'll definitely be purchasing another one to run fish pond electrics.
