I don't doubt that these lights will last a fair amount of time however installing them is a nightmare. If you use anything other than flex (which nobody uses for down lights) then the solid cable will push these spotlights down and you will have gaps. Not to mention that there's no earth terminal do you have to terminate it outside the light which is just shoddy. Terrible absolutely terrible design I will never buy again.
Great light well worth the money does what it says on the box
These were ideal, and exactly the right diameter. I was expecting to end up buying ones that were larger than the existing homes, and having to make the holes bigger, not looking forward to that, as it’s an old ceiling that has accumulated a lot of dust above it, so was expecting to make a bit of a mess.
These went in without any alteration needed and the fact that you can change the light colour/temperature was perfect.
Plus you can angle them, which meant we could highlight the picture on the wall. Easy to attach the wires as well, so very pleased with the results.
Very low profile, but you still need space around the rear of the fitting as it does get warm.
Wago style connectors that can also release the cable. Solid core only. Struggled with 1.5mm so 1mm T&E is best.
There's a switch on the rear to select colour and tbh, it's pretty accurate.
They dim perfectly without any flickering.

It's an upgrade to an old type discoloured light on a freshly painted ceiling,and less costly to run than the halogen type that was there before.

There are, however, several different versions. There is a 3000K 'warm white' light fitting, a 6000K 'cool white' light fitting and a switchable fitting (you can select 3000/4000/6000K colour temperature). You need to make sure that you get similar light fittings.
Only 4 stars because of a few minor gripes.
First is that it isn't a fire-rated light.
Secondly, and this applies to the adjustable version, the light only adjusts by a small amount in one direction (unlike the 'eyeball' lights that these replaced which swivelled in any direction.
Thirdly, the connection to the light is very 'quirky'. A screwdriver isn't needed, which is a bonus, but the clamping mechanism takes some getting used to. Time will tell if the connection is robust-enough in the long term.
One final thought. Because the LED lamp is not removable, the whole unit would have to be replaced if the LED failed - unlike downlights that have a bulb where all that is required if the bulb fails is to replace the bulb! The longevity of this unit is yet to be determined, hopefully it will be many, many years!

Cheap and cheerful, a good light for the price. Not sure how long they’ll last, but happy so far.
Fitted these in apex soffit. The spring aren’t very strong maybe the fact the pvc trim is only 5-8mm didn’t help. Had to shaped the wiring to the correct route to hold the angle of the downlight. The picture shows the max adjustment of the downlight
