Excellent tool for removing, with care, an immersion cylinder element.
Was going to buy a (very expensive) Monument wrench, but thought I'd give this a try. It's very solid, even when used with a hammer to free a seized immersion. Strong, thick, galvanised steel - worked absolutely fine.
Does exactly as it’s supposed to work. Could not have done the job without it
Looks like a well-made and strong box spanner. Did just what was wanted.
Good strong tool, perfect fit and withstood a number of strong hammer blows removing old heater.
A good fit and strong construction. Needed a few hits with a hammer to start moving but no worries that it might be damaged.
A nice tool. Worked well. But two things you should be aware of; the height of this tool means that it may NOT fit underneath the top cylinder pipe ( which if it is copper you will have to cut out) and also, i bent the bar quite easily ( though it worked). You may need to use a 1/2 inch strong steel bar for a stubborn immersion. Other than this, it works.
I was amazed to find out this wrench can do both lefty Lucy and righty tighty
Excellent piece of kit could not have changed the immersyhester without it!!!
More sturdily-built that expected. Did the job but still neededd a bit of a tap on the bar with a hammer even on a heater that was only installed 3 years ago.
Both the heater and spanner to remove the old faulty heater did exactly what it said on the tin .Thanks very much for a personal service Brian
Just right - fitted OK and tightened OK. What more do you want from a spanner?
It's a box wrench so it did what it was supposed to
The advantage of this tool is that you use it without the tank's 'hardened foam insulation' getting in the way. Using other tools for the job often mean you have to cut away at the insulation to get the tool onto the heater element.
Perfect tool for the removal of immersion heaters .
Heavy duty and does the job. I had to lengthen the tommy bar with tubing, but it all worked a treat.
Does the job. Needed some extra push with a hammer but eventually the job was done
Immersion box wrench - simple solution to an issue
Big, solid and does the Job.
You can not gi wrong with this tool to remove the Immersion Heater.
Purchased this to remove a failed immersion heater. I recommend trying to loosen the old immersion before you drain the tank. Used a hammer to tap the road. It can take a while so stick with it. I could not have done the job without it.
