Worked ok to help fishing through a 25mm below ground conduit that already had 1 cable in it. Very messy as only way to use we found was to slap it on with gloved hand. Something more fluid would have suited better.
Used to pull 20m of swa 3 core ( fairly heavy coil on your own!) cable through a rigid plastic 38mm duct (underground ) and a section of 35mm corrugated flexi ducting (in the wall)…it worked a treat!.
It’s a thick, gelatinous compound ( clotted cream-ish), it will pour down the duct, it won’t run but fill inside the first couple of inches (50mm), you have to squeeze it out ..I put as much in and around the mouth of the duct opening, and ‘greased ‘ the cable occasionally as it entered the ducting..I could draw (push and pull) the full 20m back and forth to even up the ends left exposed.
It doesn’t damage the pvc coating of the cable either, like other chemical silicone sprays etc.
works well but can't achieve miracles, still had to chase wall
Alternatives are available but this is one of the best. Also helps with getting twin and earth down an existing switch drop. Non greasy and won’t damage cable with chemicals
Excellent product worked a treat , cables flew down the conduit system with easy. No scoring what so ever , no hassle A1
Bought this to help pull 2 x 2.5mm twin & earth through 20mm conduit. Boy what a difference! What was a struggle without it, became a doddle afterwards. The only thing I would say is if your a jobbing sparky then perfect but for a DIYer like me, this is 10 times more than I need.
Excellent product , used to feed twin and earth through plastic conduit...easy
Brilliant stuff. I had some old cables in corrugated trunking which neded to be replaced but couldn't be pulled because of the multiple bends. With the aid of a syringe and some plastic tubing I squirted this stuff down the trunking, ran a nylon pull up and down to spread it and out popped the cables as easy as could be. Have also used it to pull cables down old oval steel conduit.
