Great connection box great price +++++++++++++++++++
great value for money - easy to use - great for joining cables with little slack
Good box for the price. Quite study and does the job.
Very handy easy to use spring loaded push fit sturdy with removable centre and lockable
Handy junction box, easy to use, quick and easy to install.
Great little box for connecting small flexes or twin & earth but I wouldn’t fancy my chances with anything bigger than 1mm t&e.
Very Quick delivery I stay on an Island which can cause delays. The connectors were great quality easy to use excellent product
The connector boxes are useful but ...... Push grip connectors on one side are hard to use. One side is great, the other is not great, but with care and a hard push the connection works, just double chec the wire cannot pull out.
The box, well it's pretty poor really. The connector block won't stay on it's post with stiff wires. The cable clamps rarely click into place and the cable entry has to be cut away with clippers. All very frustrating. I bought 10 and only because the job needed completing asap I used these as no time to take them back!
Summary - connector is sort of ok but the box is terrible. Next time I will look for something better!
No tools required. Easy to install and looked good.
Marvellous piece of equipment good quality follows guidelines
Good little junction boxes complete with push connectors way per terminal andbinbuilt able clamps. Great for adding on extra lights
Simple and very effective. As advertised, no tools required. An easy push fit concept.
I needed to move my old hall light across a couple of foot. This was a perfect little junction box to allow me to do just that.
Connect without the need for tools, put connector block into box, secure, close! Large-ish box, but perfect for hidden locations that aren't going to be disturbed. Quick & simple, only wire strippers required.
It's a mixed bag. The screwless connector block itself is reasonable, yet the box to contain it struggles to fill this role.
It's chief weakness are the inadequate outer sheath ratchet clamps, which will not reliably clamp 2 1.5mm t+e cables.
Their are two potential reasons to use these - speed, and to satisfy maintenance-free regulations. Unfortunately due to the likelihood of the cable clamps popping open while trying to get the box to clip shut, speed and consistency go out of the window (along with the box!).
Which brings me to maintenance-free - despite the clever design incorporating a spare pin and the fold out screw flaps, the box does not inspire confidence that it won't pop open the moment you close up the void you've fitted it in. I've taken to wrapping them with 2 cable ties to prevent that, which probably violates the regulatory approval for maintenance free.
Unfortunately I'm hesitant about recommending them even for downlights - if they do pop open, they are much more likely to be handled there.
The white screwless block has 5 openings per terminal, 4 of which would accept 2.5mm conductors and 1 which would accept 1.5mm. Quite how you'd fit 4no 2.5mm t+e and 1no 1.5mm t+e in the box is best worked out on a lab bench. With refreshments. And prizes.
Non of the above should surprise anyone paying around £1.79 - probably a better option is Wago. They're easier, stronger, configurable, consistent - and considerably more expensive. But once the JB is covered over I'd have a lot more faith in them quietly holding those cables as placed, not springing open and leaving the conductor as the only mechanical joint.
Used these when I replaced some down lights which were only connected with chocolate blocks. Made the job quick and easy.
Great little terminal box beats the screw terminals makes a nice tidy job.
