Bought this because I've found Honeywell reliable in the past. I only needed to replace the valve and head and it seems a shame that I had to buy the complete set wit lock shield and fixings to get the parts I needed.

As an experienced plumber and gas engineer I have fitted many different makes of thermostatic radiator valves. There are probably better looking ones than these out there but from a reliability point of view, in my opinion, none are as good as the Honeywell Valencia. I cannot recollect ever having had to replace one for failing. They aren't the least expensive out there but, in my experience, they definitely last much longer in service. This makes them easily the best value for money choice for TRV's. They work reliably for many years which saves heating energy and the need to replace them again when others have long become faulty. This pack comes as a pair with a lockshield valve too. Can only recommend them. Great value and a cinch to click and collect from Toolstation.
