First time using a jig for hinge cut outs, but found it easy to get along with once I’d had a few practices and got some confidence. Job came out ok, certainly better result than me with a chisel.
The jig is super simple to use and provides accurate cuts. It was used for radius hinges which a lot of other jigs don’t seem to accommodate.
It seems robust and lightweight. The corner chisel that came with the jig is also very good
Easy to set up and use, wouldn't use it on engineered or expensive doors as getting the center line of the hinge exact is a little tricky if you're only doing the door or frame on their own.
Fitting a new door into a new frame then it's good for the job and a lot cheaper than a skeleton jig...
A Good reasonable price for a good quality hinge jig.
First time I have used this type of tool. Easy to use and great finish.
quick and easy to use once you've set it up i use a Makita 18v router 12.7 bit 30mm guide no marking gauge , chiseling out etc , very reasonable price i can recommend this jig saves a lot of time
Great price a really helpful. Eight door fitted in a much shorter time.
I bought this jig as i had 4 oak doors to hang and was dreading it ! Each hinge took just a few minutes with a new 1/4" router also bought for the occasion (my old 1/2" router was very heavy and.....old !) and the finish was amazing. I'd never used a jig before so watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube. Worked an absolute treat ! Very impressed and would definitely recommend it !👍
Great hinge jig, not the quickest to set up but not far either, great balance of affordability and speed and as accurate as the person setting it up! Would recommend.
The description clearly states use 16mm bush but you need 30mm. Toolstation has had this highlighted several times but have FAILED to update their site. Thanks to this I have ruined a solid oak door !!!! No doubt this review won’t even be read by Toolstation as previously demonstrated let alone offer any compensation. GET THIS SORTED TOOLSTATION !!!!
It was ok - I didnt like the bradall fixing method
This probably would be good if the jig in the box was the same as what you ordered
