I had to obtain a self retracting stanley knife due to working in warehouses where self retracting knives are the only type you are allowed to use. The best thing with this one is the slider button is on there sides of the knife; top, left and right....others are only on one sidecwhich makes them harder to use. Also, at just over £5 it is the cheapest available by far.it is nice to hold and seems quite sturdy.
Low cost, easy to use and effective, particularly for repetitive cutting actions where a safety retractable blade is required.
It’s a basic retractable knife that will hopefully stop me slicing my fingers again!

Had to buy this self retractable knife as the site I was working on (Wates) only allows this type as us professional tradesman apparently can't be trusted with sharpe objects, so really just brought it to keep in my pocket in case the jobsworth H&S pays a visit. Used it a little mainly to cut the ends off mastic tubes but a bit awkward to use and the blade doesn't always self retract, may need a spray of oil, suppose it's ok for keeping in your pocket to open boxes and things but for any real work a fixed blade knife is better.

Nice knife,but takes a bit of getting used too being self retractable.
Really happy with this little knife. The blade hides away easy meaning im confident slipping it in my pocket.
The knife is solid enough and reasonable for the price. Bear in mind that it only operates when thumb is on the trigger.

Ideal solution Tony need for a very sharp knife but fulfilling health and safety requirements in the workplace. The blade instantly retracts when not held out. Perfect. Simple as a Stanley knife, well made.
Needed a self retracting knife as it was a requirement For a site I was going to. This was spot on, and a very good price. I was looking for something cheap that did the job, as with most things I’m likely to lose it, not a problem at this price

Feels light and flimsy. Self-retract is really annoying. Just makes it hard to use when you must keep your finger on the latch. Pay a bit more and get a better tool that's easier to use and does the task better.
Only needed a cheap knife and this was good enough

Having lost the tip of my finger from catching a knife with a new blade I decided to get this one. Bit of getting used to but doubt I will go back to fixed blade knives even with cut proof gloves.
