Excellent item, made a super neat pipe-run around a chimney breast in the loft
When plumbing a new cloakroom with shower and basin, this was just what I needed to step over the upright feed to the shower, while keeping the pipework as close as possible to the wall.
Where you encounter space constraints on-site such as within bulkheads this practical and handy fitting allows for a cheaper, faster and smarter installation.
Hep2o fittings good qualiy neve had a problem with them
Can't really say as i had to return this because i used two elbow joints that working well
Decided to try Hep2O. Found a few frustrations with this and the other bends and tees:
1) Disassembly of contructs (eg multiple tees etc for manifold) can only be done with a tool that apparently can't be found. Manufacturers can send one but.....never arrives. This is because the normal disassembly tool won't fit in the space.
2) Dissassembly of pipe from socket is easy with the tool but 9/10 leaves the pipe insert inside (even with the pipe cut carefully and straight). Unlike Speedfit, the socket can't be disassembled to remove it. Although a new pipe can be pushed back over the insert, it doesn't give much confidence. Ultimately, if son't intend to re-insert the same pipe, you also lose the elbow/tee/etc.
3) The lumen through the socket appears slightly smaller than Speedfit equivalent.
Good points: feels solid and well made, does *feel* secure (despite the above). Wavin Customer Service is also good (although still chasing dismantling tool).
So quick and easy to use - just don't forget the insert!!
