My wife is a big old unit, so when she said she’d bought a swing for the bedroom I knew I was going to have to use heavy duty kit. Bearing in mind she’s wrecked the cushions in our sofa, and cracked the toilet pan at the local Wimpey. Anyway I can report that this hook is holding up well, the ceiling joist creaks a bit if we’re proper going at it, but the hook is bang on.
These are large hooks, very sturdy though. I attached to wood by drilling a pilot hole and screwing in. 2 minute job.

Cheap effective way to vertically hang bikes. Worked as intended.
Strong hook used in multiple for storing a coil of cable (out of use) on the wall. If mounting into stone or brick materials, expect to use Fischer S12 or similar wall plugs for your screws, and a wide masonry drill bit (think 10 to 12mm). Into wood or other walls, DIY'ers should make sure these are strong enough to take the hook or hooks with the weight of what you intend to hang on them.. for example, the plasterboard alone would fall apart, but find the ceiling joist's centre and avoiding pipes and cables hidden in your ceiling and they work fine !
