Good product and build but needs instructions as had to go on utube
Bought this to ensure side gate always closes. Fitted this in accordance with instructional videos on YT and it works … but the gate doesn’t quite engage the latch when closing. I’ve tightened the spring with the tensioning bar (bit of a struggle!) as much as possible (don’t let go of the bar suddenly!) and the customer is happy with its performance.
Easy fitting, works well. Don't know what all the fuss was about with the pretension lugs.
Screws were useless, made of inferior metal that easily distorts. The retaining pins did not fit. Do not buy
Poor tension fixing pins pop out and not long enough! Don’t bother- other makes much better
The two metal inserts to stop the spring unwinding were not suitable. Had to resort to using screws instead
As others have stated but I hoped was overblown - the tensioning system is really dangerous. The pins ping off at the slightest disturbance even after fitting they're so slack, so plan on hacking your own system with some extra drilling and cutting the tensioning rod up. Otherwise everyone using the gate needs to wear safety glasses.
Probably good at home but i used on walkway gates in a factory and have already replaced twice used constantly by 100 people a day so not really what its designed for
all good it does the job at reasonable cost for finish
Well built light/medium duty gate spring, easy to fit and adjust, supplied screws not great but adequate, can't really comment on how good the galvanizing is yet but time will tell...
it did not do what it suppose to do. not happy with purchase.

Broke as soon as tension was put on the spring. No instruction.

The tensioning bar was also a poor fit, bent under minimum torsion and disengaged, resulting in the spring unwinding violently.
Not very good. Couldn’t get it to do what it’s supposed to do. No instructions included.
The sping is strong and has a quality zink coating, however the small pins that slot in to retain the tension are uncomfortably small for their holes. Make sure you slot them in fully or they will ping out and take you eye out. Wear saftey goggles.
Adjuster broke.. Within minutes.. Useless...........
It does what it says on the box! It’s a gate spring.
