Its a simple gate latch, it works as i expected !

Good product. Nice and strong but may be a little large for some gate posts.
This product is well worth paying that little extra for, as top notch quality that will last a lot longer than low budget latches..used this for lots of gates and highly recommend it..really good value long lasting product for a professional finish and long lifespan.
Does the job adequately but would say this should be marked as light to medium duty as it doesn't feel like a heavy duty built item.
The gate door mounted prong isnt as cranked as in the advert photo and more akin to a dog leg shape.
For home use it's ideal.
Heavy duty and good quality galvanised latch for the money would definitely recommend.

Robust gate latch with good galvanised finish. Replaced a flimsy product that rusted very quickly. No screws provided with the product.

A galvanised item which produces a robust and sturdy gate latch
Real sturdy latch that engages at the same time as the gate hits the rebate stop so it does not strain the screws and loosen. Posties slam the gate and the standard latch took the brunt before the gate had stopped but because of the extra size and sturdiness it holds it back and stops damage. Great latch!
Good quality latch heavy duty as described. Had to return it when collected as size was too wide for my usage. Inclusion of dimensions in specification would have helped me at Toolstation not wasting time
