Seems better quality than the last one the bar seems a bit broader where it’s screwed in
My last broke near the screw holes a weak point. But this one seems improved

I would have preferred the zinc plated version as I think that long term zinc might be more weatherproof than paint (which can scratch) but it was out of stock locally.
Really impressed for the quality of this gate latch, much more sturdy than the one it replaces, a lovely feel to it, it ups the look of the whole gate.
Finally a gate latch that’s worth buying. The last one I bought (from elsewhere) lasted 18 months before the thumb latch broke off. This one is much thicker.
Heavy duty latch too large for my garden gate. Excellent quality more suited to field gate perhaps.
A good solid gate latch. Much thicker than the cheaper version and with a coat of Hamerite should last years.
I was impressed with the quality of the item.It was heavy duty as described,sturdy and robust.It was easy to install.
So much stronger than the normal cheaper ones ,well worth the extra £3.
Reasonable price and functional. However the latch doesn’t come with any fixings which was disappointing as I did not have any black fixings on board.
The latch is nicely made and the coating is good but it’s severely let down by a poor quality and poorly installed rivet. The unit is not held together tightly enough to stop the latch from sticking in the closed position as the thumb twist catches in the frame.
