This is an excellent item. Sharpens the blade quite easily and would recommend getting one to try.
I was really optimistic that this device would help but the instructions are poor so I still haven't worked out how to use it.
Basically it was quicker for me to drive to the shop to buy this file. Sharpen the teeth of my chainsaw. Then finish cutting with the sharp blade. Than it was for me just stay home trying to cut with the dull blade. I highly recommend.

OK, but I found it difficult to use the alignment bar effectively on a 12” chainsaw, so eventually just used the file on its own. Not the sharpest file and a bit bendy.

The file is good, but bend it in the middle, between the handle ends and the file guide begins.
