very effective cuts through well with leverage. cud be heavy for older or weaker people
Good product and delightful to use with its extendable handles
Loppers are working well for my 89 year old dad. The extra long handles give a new power boost so he can cut thicker branches.
Bought these to prune my apple tree which it nansgef with great success. The shears lopped through branches fairly easily. The extending arms help but open quite wide so needed a bit of positioning to get the best pressure.
Sharp, robust, and up to the job! I used these loppers to cut up some felled tree branches of about 2-3cm and it did the job superbly - for the 4 hours that they were in use. I see no reason to buy anything more expensive - superb!

I bought these to replace a very old set of loppers. It was agonizing to use them. However, once I used these new Hawksmoor Bypass Loppers, it was like cutting through soft butter.

Good loppers for the money paid, very sharpe and sturdy
So far, so good! The lopping shears seem to be very sturdy and will certainly cut up to 40mm branches, but I wouldn't be comfortable cutting any that were > 40mm. Very good value for money and easy to adjust the handle lengths.
Excellent tool, the extendable arms have spring loaded detents and lock in place. I have done a lot of cutting with this tool, the jaws started locking up so i slackened the two front bolts about 1/8 of a turn and its been ok since.
Stupid design. You have to open them up so far to get around the branch it’s just a stupid concept. I’ve had some of these before and they worked a treat, but these are just stupid.
Exceptionally sturdy and of a high quality material given the low price. Very pleased with how they have performed so far.
