You do have to cut things small and it does clog up with Fern and conifer off cuts
It is loud so ear defenders are a must.
Very impressed with the performance of this shredder, although it is very light it shreds the thickest branches with ease.
I'm not impressed with the shredder, the slot where you put the branches is so small, if the twigs aren't straight or free of spikes they get stuck. I'm presuming it's so you don't put in too wide twigs? Wasted money I can't afford to waste... Sorry but I don't recommend
Excellent. Best £90 I spent in ages. Work non stop for over 2 hrs, good value for money.
Great tool that does the job, got rid of loads of difficult plants, only negative is finding spare blades
Not bad for the price but desperately noisy just free running. You need ear defenders. Seems to run almost too fast and bits blow out of the bag if you haven't got it just right. Shreds small stuff quite well. I have a big petrol Forest Master for branches but I wanted something light and easy to get out for a few twigs now and again and it's ideal for that.
I wasn't impressed seeing how small the hole is and really struggled to put anything other than thin, straight twigs, but the worst had to come. After 2 short sessions of cutting engine kept working but blades stopped. I don't recommend to anybody who value time and nervous.
DIY quality product that worked well - however blocked quite easily
I wrongly assumed the bad reviews were probably being harsh and "what would you expect for such little money" however even at the low price, it just isnt worth it. I spent more time un clogging it than i did shredding anything. In this case you really do get whatbya pay for. Useless product

Bought this after spending ages cutting down a hedge the cuttings needed getting rid. The shredder made short work of all branches and twigs and saved around four trips to the tip.
This did the job I bought it for. I did inadvertently get a large stone ingested which damaged the blades. The provided Allen key is too short to use as shown in the manual. Fortunately I had another longer one.
Works great, at first I didn't think it was going to be up for the job, but it has shedded all my doubts away.

Absolutely pointless machine. The mouth is too small to get in anything other than straight twigs. Complete waste of time purchase and I’ll be returning mine for a refund.
The shredder is reasonably simple to assemble and use. It is effective if the branches are straight and about 20 to 25mm thick. However it struggles with non straight branches or those with knobbles where a side shoot has been removed.
However my big gripe is the feed funnel is way too flimsy at the cutting zone. My one had section smashed off ( presumably by a ballistic wood chip) after only a few hours use. This stopped any further feeding of branches. The plastic is only a couple of mm thick at most - needs to be metal at this zone.
To be fair the online support team immediately authorised a return to store and I was refunded.
Not up to the job. Below "entry level" shredder.
Can't get anything other than really small stuff in. Jams easily.
Only good for shredding stuff that doesn't need shredding.
Buy something else.
For such a small machine, I was surprised what small chips were produced. It's more of a chipper than a shredder! The output could then be evenly spread across my compost heap. For large leaf material, eg Laurel or Aucuba, it was necessary to push through with the tool provided. But for dead branches, they were drawn in automatically and at great speed!
I was surprised that this was as sturdy as it was.After studying various reviews of competitive products I decided to go for a cheaper option having read negative opinions of more expensive products.i’ve hired shredders before so l am aware of their capabilities.This one is good on various fronts and I am pleased with it.
