I was surprised you could still get these smaller size long stick shovels, as not many people dig things by hand these days. This is is great shovel particularly in the grave digging and ashes burial world. It is also a great asset for those difficult to get areas for digging deep foundations where a mechanical digger is unable to get. I highly recommend this shovel to all the last of the old school hard labour working hand diggers👍
An extremely well made spade. I have used it regularly and the long handle help to make light work of digging etc.

Great long handle but the shovel part is just so enormous it takes a lot to even get it in the ground as there's so much resistance/contact. Think digging with a snow plough. May be of use in soft soil or shovelling sand.

Great value digging shovel! Handle is surprisingly chunky and has little to no flex even when levering. Digging end is robust and heavy duty. Much much stronger all round than your average £20 spade! Very pleasantly surprised.

Needed to dig a hole to plant a tree and have solid clay about a foot down so needed something to make life easier. This is ideal for quickly digging a 2 foot deep hole without back ache. I’ve tried to do this with a post hole digger and just spent all my time cleaning clay out of it, also tried with just a regular spade and it’s a lot more stressful on my back. Overall a good purchase

Brought this spade for doing some ground work at home. I was hoping that having the long handle would help me with my bad back. 4 cubic metres later and my back is still good. It easily slices through lose hard core and gravel. The handle is very strong.

Solid and cheap shovel. Can't complain, dug a very nice hole. Little on the heavy side, but i guess that adds to the sturdiness.

Had been after one of these for a while and have found this one to be really useful. Makes removing stubborn weeds and digging out stumps an easily achievable task. Gives really good leverage and the design prevents back strain.
This is proving a great tool for renovating an overgrown plot of land However, I expected a fibreglass shaft but it appears to be a mild steel handle just covered in a thin layer of fibreglass. A little disappointed on that count in terms of its potential longevity - hence the four stars
