I am an amateur hedgelayer and whilst out recently, was asked to remove the old fence. I borrowed a pair of pliers and was really successful. The real key was that even with the staples flush, the Staple grab point was fine enough to grab the Staple and roll out.
I didnt even take these pliers home as the Staple grab is so far down the head, I just wouldn't be as efficient. Spend a few pounds more and get a branded set. It will make life much easier.

Only used once but seem good value & up to the job
Did what I needed it to - I bought it to cut some old fencing wire off. A challenge to manoeuvre the tool around the bush I had in the way, but I bought it so I can use to install chicken wire in the future too, else I would’ve just bought a wire cutter.
For the price this is great quality and works well
I bought these to replace a set that I lost on a job. These are much cheaper than any I've bought in the past but they are great !
All good, wire cutting easy, pri-point for staples works, hammering OK but "normal" hammer better.
good quality especially for the price, the hammer face is textured this wears quickly but does not matter, the piler mouth gives you a good strong grip
Cowboys in the USA use them, so why not me. Have you got barb wire. True ha ha.

These seem like a solid pair of fencing pliers and look like a high quality product. They've taken a little damage after a few uses but that's probably to be expected

Bought these to clear a mess of barbed wire, chicken wire and fence wire at the end of the garden and they worked very well - both cutting wire and removing staples

Great fencing pliers at a very competitive price, will do you fine for occasional use. I got them for running support wires for plants along a high wall. Very handy.
