works fine - as advertised. Warns against kick-back but I didn't experience any, even with 100cm branches
Not recommended. Returned to store after 30min of use.
really surprised with the pole chainsaw, checked a lot of the reviews on other brands, then finally bought this, very easy to set, (was a bit nervous at first, a bit fiddly to put on the chain tighter but figured it out after a few goes) only downside it's a bit heavy when fully lengthened need to apply pressure with your back, probably because I don't have strength in my arms like the Rock, I had to wedge it against my body to apply the force needed to cut higher branches. but it cuts great. Just make sure you clean it and check the chain every now and then.
First time using this type of saw, my first complaint is that i cannot separate the 2 halves for storage and the manufacturers dont respond to questions.
It has a good length but if you dont have much upper body strength it will become heavy, i cuts easy enough but its length can also be a hinderence when tryi g to lay it down in between useage.
No doubt further use will improve my liking of it
Great bit of kit. Powered through the branches on my pear tree. Would've taken so much longer using a manual saw or loppers. Lost one star because no oil is provided and I had to go back out to buy a bottle.
Very well designed and engineered. Works nicely to trim overhanging branches. Well written usage manual. Good cable length. Good value product.
Works very well. Bit of a hassle to assemble - the electrical connector in the middle doesn't always connect well.
Saw works well and good price. Only drawback is that it uses quite a lot of chain oil (not included).
I have mixed feelings over this pole saw. It was a good price, when it worked it was fantastic at chimping through green branches with almost no downward force needed, but then it blew off the tensioning mechanism mid cut, and it was returned for a refund after not much use.
I had read other reviews regarding the tensioning mechanism, and sadly it turned out to be as poor as what others experienced. It did not have a hard life in the few days of ownership, it had cut maybe twenty 4-6” oak branches.
I had to duct tape and cable tie the plastic panel and tensioner on to finish what I was doing. Bearing in mind I was suspended 15m up while using it and had to get certain branches done.
Item was returned and a full refund given.
Great idea, but the chain retention and tension mechanism is poor. I see it is the same design with most 240v ones around this price range.
Agree with others in that the switch is too far back and I found it difficult to use on closer branches, as I was up in the tree.
No oil provided.
I just poured chain oil from the bottle so don’t see the need for the included top up bottle.
Would like to give it 4* but can’t on this occasion.
Great product which makes tree pruning easy It does require some strength as it is not light but that is more than made up for by its strength and performance. Quickly cuts through branches with very little downward pressure. Very long reach and the shoulder strap makes it easier to handle.
Solid, quite heavy but manageable and did a great job with lopping hard to reach branched. Very happy with this piece of kit. Recommend it.
Works very well and reach is spot on. A touch heavy though
Heavy to Use and chain buckled on the 3rd time i used it.
Im about to take back for a refund.
Poorly made after assembly would not start so not able to use
Does the job well, however the thumb tight orange chain tightening knob needs to be tightened with a wrench or it will come slack.
Also the chain oiling system is far too fast.
Amazing saw for the price, good quality Oregon bar and chain. This cut high branches up to 6 inches thick. No effort needed, it cut through so easy and cleanly.
Excellent pole saw very easy to assemble and cuts like a knife through butter.
Works great but a bit too heavy. Appreciate that overall weight is good but with all the weight at the cutting end it makes it hard to use at full extension. Would have been a better design to have the motor at the handle end and shaft drive to the blade (although appreciate that this would be more costly to produce). Having said all that, once you can rest the blade on top of the branch you want to cut it goes through with ease due to the aforementioned weighty end.
This does the job perfectly and cuts through branches much better than I anticipated. Yes, it is a bit heavy to use at maximum length but then the majority of the weight is at the end of a long pole so is to be expected. Assembly was easy and, although some reviewers have complained about the oil bottle supplied, it is easy to fill if you are careful and patient. Overall a great purchase and, with a summer 20% off deal, it was great value for money.
A great tool for reaching those high branches. Great value for the price
