Handrail Bracket Polished Brass

Strong, nicely finished and the perfect size to strengthen an existing handrail. It was easy to fit though I didn't use the tiny screws it came with. Joiner fitted a new oak staircase rail but didn't have the right size bracket for the middle. They said they'd come back but never did. This fitted perfectly.

Overall very happy with the quality. One thing to watch for is checking how square the wall part is to the rail when fixing the bracket to the rail. If you align the square bit to the rail you may find the round part is not square to the rail / wall. Need to fix it to rail whilst checking round plate is square to the rail. Also, I don't use the supplied screws as I don't feel they are big / secure enough.

The brackets were well made and strong enough to hold the rail, they were easy to use and looked good.

Handrail bracket with poor screws! The bracket (i bought 4), profile is alot smaller than i anticipated. The more frustrating thing, the screws. They couldnt hold a picture frame, let alone the weight of a handrail!! I had to purchase some better quality/longer screws to get a firm secured fixing. Would i recommend? Not really for the price and having to purchase more to make the product do its job. Not to mention, two of four brackets had scratches. I put 3 stars instesd of 1 as the toolstation staff at Aylesford branch are brilliant and very helpful.

This is a quality Bracket, well made and it enhances the look of the job. I recommend it.

These looks really nice (ignore the photo, they have a much more gold/brass look to them. They feel strong but a couple were slightly bent so they didn't line up 100% with the handrail. The screws that come with are all the same length too so I'd recommend longer screws for inside the wall.

A quality product which will probably outlast the wood of the handrail.

The quality of these polished brass handrail brackets is excellent. Supplied with them, presumably for hanging the handle, are 5 brass coloured woodscrews. 2 to fit the bracket to the wooden handrail and 3 to fit the bracket to the wall. Unfortunately, all 5 are about 4mm long. Fine for fitting the handrail but insultingly, useless, for fitting the bracket to the wall. That effort to save a minute fraction of a penny has influenced my rating.

The price of these brackets was comparative to those online and I could pick them up immediately and for the extra I needed, it was just a 24hr wait. They are now fitted and match the other brass fittings I have on doors etc.
