It’s got a good finish to it but it’s very thick and I found it hard to apply so I’m looking for a different brand.

What can you say about paint? It covered the metal very well, and looks as though it will protect the metal for years to come.A good protector for metals.

I alway's use Hammerite paint it thins well with standard thiners and it goes a long long way, Out of a 750ml tin I get another 300ml thining it down, So it keeps its ability to cover well. I always spray it on to my finished surfaces, which come up real well, Thanx Hammerite for a wonderfull paint.
Perfect product, it does exactly what it says on the tin and dead easy to use.
Right thickness to start with good finish. Despite staring it well each time it soon thickened so be prepared to thin it down.

Not my first time using this paint and I can say that it lasts quite a long time, I used it on the frame of my trailer three years ago and it still looks almost as good as new. Could do with a bigger tins for a larger projects to save on waste. On a cold day I like to warm it up in a pot of hot water, makes application smoother
Love this product used this before will use again, great for direct to rusty metal (always remove any flaky rust for best adhesion) nice smooth finish, best to apply smaller layers for best results.
Highly recommended covers all discrepancies and leaves great finish brilliant
