Great paint to apply to metalic components without undercoat
Sooth finish. Very shiny, good coverage. True black colour.

What can I say. It's Hammerite. Great as usual. One coat does it.
its ok but can be a bit sticky to use, also needs a chemical brush cleaner as not water based.

Used to paint some rescued exterior door hinges and fittings for an outhouse. Fairly easy to apply but need to keep layers thin to prevent runs. Reasonably quick drying, was able to recoat after 4 hours at about 15⁰C. Second coat definitely needed on bare metal. Only just applied so can't comment on how long it will last, but currently looks great.

The 250ml tin provides really good coverage while avoiding the waste which can occur with larger tins. The paint dries quickly and adheres to metal and rusty surfaces well - removing any existing paint before applying is advisable though. I'd definitely echo the guidance on the tin to apply two coats to bare metal.

Great stuff. Have used Hammerite for years and is my trusted 'go to' product for use on metal 'ornaments' in the garden and shed. Use it to protect against the weather. No other products compare in my opinion.
Time will tell if it gives good lasting protection for my metal gate. It can be a bit thin, certainly does not need thinning. Attractive smooth finish and reasonably priced.
