Having tried painting around pipes and architraves with a one inch, I relented and bought some decent smaller brushes. The angles help to spread the paint evenly and accurately. Worth buying.

I was a bit concerned before about using flat brushes like this, but, especially as I wanted narrow ones, decided they should work well for window frames. They did indeed, or at least the one I used. I'm not sure if this was the brush or the paint, but it didn't hold excess paint too well, so recommend not putting too much on at a time.
As a professional Decorator a set of these are a must.
