Brush lost hairs on first job even one pound ones better
Bought this set to varnish a veneered vintage amplifier so wanted a good finish. The brushes are very soft and give good application, definitely worth the extra money as I imagine I'll be using these for many other jobs.
Have used these brushes and decorating tools for 45 years. I have a number of synthetic brushes from other companies including the hamilton for the trade line. Thought I would try the perfection max stroke brushes-(twice the price of the for the trade brushes) they paint ok and hold plenty of paint but the overall finish of the brush and handle were very poor-it irritates me when companies with a good reputation shift production off shore for the cheap costs, but still charge top whack!
As yet I have only used the 1 1/2" for applying satinwood and it has performed perfectly. Three days in and only two bristles have been shed.
Great finish with these brushes. Super high quality, yes they aren’t the cheapest but if you need a good finish then these are worth every penny.
I don’t think they are as good as the Hamilton Perfection pure bristle brush ,but it’s done the job with good results
Used many times before, absolute perfection! Very neat brush lines, easy to cut in with, comfortable handle. Lovely brushes!
These brushes are a bit more expensive than others however I have found that they work really well when used with water-based gloss paint. They don't leave any streaks in the paintwork (if you dampen them first of course), the brush does not become overloaded as cheaper brushes do and they are much easier to clean.
Not yet used but quality Hamilton products give an excellent finish and are durable.
